Plant: acacia tree

Adaptations: the acacia tree has developed an adaptation that allows the tree to grow quickly (has developed long tap roots that can reach ground water sources and is fire resistant)

Animal: gazelle 

Adaptations: food is scarce for the gazelle and it uses its hind legs to obtain leaves. It is also capable of going long times without water and can get water from the plants they eat
